TGD Updates: Next Meeting, Workshop, and Game Jam!

We have THREE upcoming events here in January! :O If your new years resolution is to make that game you’ve always wanted, or to learn something new, TGD is the place to be. Our last monthly meeting of 2018 is this Thursday, Dec. 6, at 7pm. You won’t want to miss it! The agenda includes: VR roundtable! Sean Souva of Virtual Odysseys will join us in a VR chat app for a discussion about the current state and future of VR. We’ll also have Blake Parsons, a game artist from Dire Wolf Digital, joining the virtual chat along with several of our regular members. Now accepting locally-made game submissions for our Tucson Comic Con booth!

Are you a game maker local to the Tucson area? Got a game project-in-progress or finished product you’d like to put in front of (and receive feedback from) hundreds of convention-goers? Here’s your chance! In case you haven’t heard yet: TGD has been given an “artist alley” table in a high-traffic location at Tucson Comic Con, and we’ll be using it to showcase Tucson’s local game dev talent. Announcing The TGD Kiosk

TGD is currently preparing for various upcoming events, including the Tucson Comic-Con. We wanted a way to show off our games in a professional manner, manage the experience, and allow for players to provide feedback to the game developers. October meeting recap

Our first remote presenter experience was awesome! We welcomed Nate Storm, and he told us a bit about himself and the work he does for Dire Wolf before jumping into a live ZBrush sculpting session and talking about modeling process and tools.
