April Meeting Recap & May Meetup Announced
Planes, Trains & Automobiles
This month Greg & Drew gave us a sneak peek into their game development process of Trains, Planes & Automobiles. Not only did they show off how they’ve been developing the game, Greg shared some key insights into the business of games, including how he set up the legal licensing of the game (which is based on the board game of the same name). They talked about some of the key multi-player features they wanted to hit, because getting the balance for multiplayer right is always important. Then they showed the game in development itself, which looked great and was very playable even at an earlier stage of development.

Meetups in May
Coffee Talk
We had our first casual coffee meetup and we’ll be continuing these monthly but switching the day to Thursday. These are a great chance to meet people and chat about game development.

Monthly Meeting: Let’s Make A Game
Announced at the April meetup: TGD will be making a game together! What does this mean? How will it be done? We’ll have a working meeting this May to decide. We will also be chatting a bit about this at coffee talk as well as we prepare for the meeting. We want this game development process to be collaborative and level up the group’s XP. If you’re an artist, developer, or designer (aspiring or otherwise) come by and take part!
