His experience is so broad, I think everyone in the room left with useful advice. We have a few short presentations this month, and I hope everyone gets something out of it this month as well.

Making Game Assets with Photogrammetry

Wouldn’t it be cool to be able to take things from the real world, scan them, and put them into your game? Enter photogrammetry! We’ll talk about some of the unique details of this process and by the end of the night you’ll know what photogrammetry, de-lighting, and retopologizing are! While not as easy as taking a photo, photogrammetry can provide high-quality assests that, with some work, can be used in your game. Brandon Banyongtham and Brandan Lee will be presenting an overview of the techniques and if possible, we’ll try to do a live demo!

https://imgur.com/wlibMlh

Saving Games In Unity

One of the biggest questions that trips people up when first making a game is: How do i save my game? Join us as Andrew shows us some tips and tricks for saving and loading your game using his soon to be released Unity tool: PlayerPrefsAnything! Andrew will be walking us through the basics of saving your game with an example scenario. We’ll talk about the design considerations such as how often to save, when, and what to save!

The When & Where

The meeting is on Thursday August 1st and will start at 7pm *sharp*! Our meeting will be taking place at Tucson Games & Gadgets at the Tucson Mall. The JC Penney entrance is the best location to park.
