{"id":683,"date":"2018-09-11T04:44:52","date_gmt":"2018-09-11T04:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tgdstaging.enemyhideout.com\/?p=683"},"modified":"2018-09-11T04:52:19","modified_gmt":"2018-09-11T04:52:19","slug":"sept-2018-meeting-recap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tucsongamedev.com\/?p=683","title":{"rendered":"Sept. 2018 Meeting Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had another fantastic meeting Thursday evening, here are some highlights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oz showed the latest in his work on <em>Strings of Ambivalence<\/em>, including the beginnings of his robust character-building dialog system<\/li>\n<li>Brandon showed his progress on his untitled stealth game, demoing some impressive stealth puzzle mechanics<\/li>\n<li>Genji shared his head-to-head game<em> 1v<\/em>2, in which you can defend one of your neighbors to prevent the other from winning the match<\/li>\n<li>Three new faces: welcome Luke, George, and Lisa!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/igg.me\/at\/tgd-sticker-drive\/x\">TGD Sticker Drive<\/a> is well underway, having raised 33% of our goal with 20 days to go. Spread the word! Any amount of backing is greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n<p>Tucson Comic Con is fast approaching! We&#8217;ll be holding planning meetings soon, and one of our biggest concerns is figuring out hardware to demo games on &#8211; if you have any to lend, or know someone who does, please let us know.<\/p>\n<h2>Next meeting: guest speaker Nate Storm!<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/natestorm.artstation.com\/\">Nate Storm<\/a> is a 3D and concept artist working for Dire Wolf since 2012. At our next monthly meeting on October 4, Nate will join us from Denver through the magic of the interwebs for a talk about his work in the industry.
