Updates! Tons of them! Meeting moved to Dec. 19th!
Due to a scheduling conflict with Santa, this month’s TGD meeting has been moved to Dec. 19th! And if there is sufficient interest, we might have a festive GAME NIGHT! That’s right, we can sit back and play some fun games together! We are hosting this at CoLab, 7pm, at 17 e Pennington St in Downtown Tucson. Parking is free on the street after 5pm, and the garage is also a great place to park cheap.
CoLab is Moving!
I’d like to extend a HUGE thanks to Startup Tucson for hosting us for so long, but their lease is up, and its time for them to move. We are currently looking for a new space (and if you know of one, let me know!). There is no meeting currently planned for January because of this.
No Global Game Jam!
Last of the bad news is that we currently have no location to host the Global Game Jam because of this. We may look and see if we can make something happen, but the timeline is pretty short here. I hope we can transition to a new space and make this happen next year! Along with the Ludum Dares!
When we last saw our heroes…
Last meeting was, as always, quite informative and fun. We played and puzzled over Andrew’s latest game Luminite a local 2-player coop FPS puzzler.
Branden showed off his progress on his latest games, and also gave some cool Blender tips as well!
Thomas presented a fine example of an innovative game, his take on ‘geo-guessing’ games, but instead of guessing locations, you’re guessing locations in books! He’s used the bible as his source material, and hosts it at http://scripturetrack.org. I really enjoyed his game and execution, and that you can apply this to potentially many different subjects!
Noel and I also showed off some work, but alas, no pics! Hope to see you all December 19th!
