Next meeting: August 4, 2021
After a long year and a half, it’s time to resume in-person meetings!
Due to the higher preference for a central location, we’ve coordinated with Bookmans to return to using their midtown location as we did at our last few in-person meetings. James, their Engagement Coordinator, has been very supportive and excited to have us. Thanks a ton, James!
Discord has been great for keeping us together and active all these months, so we’d like to continue to provide a way for people to continue attending meetings online, but we’re also eager to gather and hang out like the old days… so why not both?
When:
August 4 at 6:30pm Tucson time (UTC -7)
Where:
In person at the midtown Bookmans
or
Online in the General voice chat channel on our Discord server
For our online members we’ll set up cameras, microphones, and speakers to provide as much participation as we can. We’re not exactly pros at this yet so it may take a few meetings to get this right, your patience in the meantime is greatly appreciated.
What:
The focus this month is just on resuming in-person activities without losing online participation, so there’s no special speaker planned. We’ll look at all of the great progress our members have made on their projects in the past month, maybe get to meet some of the new faces that have joined us in Discord, and have a good chill time. I’ll put together a slide show to guide things along, if you have special content for that or you’d like to make sure there’s some time to talk about a specific subject please coordinate that with me in Discord beforehand!
